Private Patients1. Who pays for my services? If you come to Nor Med Therapies as a private patient you are required to pay for your services. You may seek reimbursement from any private insurance that your may have. Nor Med Therapies will provide you with any documentation you require for reimbursement. 2. Does Nor Med Therapies direct bill insurance companies? No, Nor Med Therapies does not direct bill any insurance companies. We require that patients pay for services and seek reimbursement unless they are being treated under the CRP, WCB or under “Protocols”. 3. I don’t know if I have private insurance – What is “private” insurance? Private insurance is often referred to as Extended Health Benefits or Employee Benefits. It is often provided through your employer. Examples of common private health insurers are Great West Life, Blue Cross. This is the policy that would also cover dental, prescriptions and eye glasses. 4. What coverage do I have for physiotherapy? Every policy is different. You need to refer to your actual policy or insurance administrator to confirm what coverage you have. A common type of coverage would be $500.00 every calendar year. 5. What if I need more therapy after my coverage runs out? If you exhaust your private coverage and require further physiotherapy you would be required to pay out of pocket. |
