How is a WCB claim opened? You must complete an ‘Injured Worker Report’. Your employer should be able to provide you with a form. If you have not done so we can provide you with one at the clinic. Your employer must also complete an ‘Employer Report of Accident’ form. The last form that is required is your therapist must complete the ‘Physiotherapy Assessment’ form. Do I need to see a doctor? You can start physiotherapy without seeing a physician first however the WCB requires that you see a physician within 5 days of starting physiotherapy. I am off work and am afraid that if I go back I will injure myself more Your therapist will work closely with you, your employer, your case manager, and your physicians to ensure that can perform all the duties expected of you when you return to work.
